“How silently, how silently
The wondrous gift is given!”
– O, Little Town of Bethlehem
Christmas is almost here. The season of Advent announces the coming of a momentous new beginning, the fulfillment a deeply held sense of expectation — our belief that more is yet to come. The gift we wait for is just ahead, just around the corner. We only need to offer ourselves to it.
Christmas renews our capacity to mirror and embody what we want most — a confirmed belief that peace, love, and joy lives, not just inside of us, but outside of us as well. Christmas is the renewal of our capacity to surrender to what is inside of us already: the gift of life and of love everlasting. And, in our belief of that, we come to manifest peace, love and joy as well. No fear can separate you from the gift of life and of love everlasting. It is yours — already.
In my last blog, we looked at submission and surrender, how anyone can embody what he/she desires — not because he/she must achieve the desire, but rather because he/she can willingly choose to mirror that desire more fully.
Here is the one time of year when we celebrate the embodiment of our desires. What we hold inside is ours right now.
Be the still, deep water that knows the place wherein that child is born; be the silent night of every night when life and love draw near.
Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All.
Thanks for listening!
